You're exactly who we built this for

The hardest part is walking in the first time. Here's what people worry about, and the truth.

I'm out of shape.

You don't need to get fit before you start. You train at your current level and build from there. That's what the classes are for.

I've never done martial arts.

Neither had many of our members when they started. Coaches explain every technique, and nobody expects you to know anything on day one.

I don't want to get hurt.

Technique comes first and you go at your own pace. Nobody expects you to spar before you're ready.

I'll feel out of place.

Our Fundamentals classes are built for new students, and the room welcomes first-timers. Tell your coach it's your first class and they'll look after you.

416-360-5919
Do I need experience or to be in shape first?

No. Complete beginners are welcome, and many of our members started with no experience. You train at your current fitness level and the coaches help you understand what you're doing.

Is the trial class really free?

Yes. Adults and teens can try one free kickboxing class and one free jiu-jitsu/grappling class, so you can experience both striking and grappling. Kids get one free trial class. No card is needed to book.

When are classes?

Adult classes run 7 days a week: weekday evenings, plus Saturday and Sunday midday. Kids classes are Monday and Friday at 5:00 PM and Sunday at 11:00 AM. See the full schedule.

Which class should I try first?

For fitness, start with Kickboxing. For self-defence or grappling, start with Fundamentals NoGi Jiu-Jitsu (Monday and Wednesday). Want MMA? You can start there too, no experience needed. Still unsure? Use the class finder.

What should I bring?

Comfortable athletic clothes and a water bottle. We teach NoGi, so you don't need a gi.

Do you teach Gi jiu-jitsu?

No. We teach NoGi jiu-jitsu only, so you train in regular athletic clothes.

How old do kids need to be?

Our kids program is for ages 4 to 12. At 13, students join the adult classes.

Is there a registration or joining fee?

No. There is no registration, initiation or enrollment fee.

Do I have to sign a contract?

You can go month-to-month, or commit for 3 or 12 months for a lower monthly price. Month-to-month memberships need 15 days' notice to cancel.

Can I sign up for a membership online?

Yes. Tap Join online on any membership in the pricing section: pick your plan, choose to pay monthly or every 2 weeks, sign your waiver and agreement, and add your card. It takes a few minutes.

Where are you, and how do I get in?

44 Prince Andrew Place, in the Don Mills area of North York, Toronto. Please use the back door entrance.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. When you book, we send you a short online waiver (about 2 minutes) so you can skip the paperwork at the front desk.
